Adult, Child, Family, and Couples Psychotherapist

My passion for my work extends to helping other professionals in the field to find their own voice and talents within this very difficult work. I have taught at UCLA, USC, and LMU and lectured at UC Berkeley.
As a person of color, I strongly believe in the importance of integrating the whole person, in context of their intersecionalities and the social system, into one's clinical work. This involves creating space for personal reflection, empathy, insight and empowerment.
I directed the Westside Domestic Violence Network, which networks across the entire system of care including law enforcement, child welfare and mental health. Because of my role, I am familiar with a wide-array of systems and community resources. Often, I am able to connect other professionals with each other to benefit and strengthen the field.
Also, I have managed and worked in many different programs such as:
school settings
shelter-based programs
residential treatment
health care and hospital
outpatient mental health clinics
crisis response and drop in centers
diversion programs
substance abuse treatment
early childhood education
home visiting and field-based work
Clinical consultation and professional development can be offered a number of ways:
Individual clinical supervision
Group supervision (on-site and off-site)
Intern training
One-time professional development consultation

I currently offer training services to support professionals in the social service field as well as providing on-site consultation and capacity-building services. Through my work as the director of the Westside Domestic Violence Network, I have facilitated and conducted small skill-building workshops as well as large conferences.
I have taught full-semester and quarter courses for graduate-level social work students covering basic clinical skills, evidence-based models (e.g., CBT, solution-focused therapy, motivational interviewing), family therapy, child mental health, attachment-theory, neurobiology and couples therapy.
I have a passion for the infinite process of learning, but not just learning, but the types of connections that occur and the deep fulfillment of learning through interactions and social connections.
I offer a free 45-minute consult in order to tailor the training to your particular needs. The list below is not exhaustive and I'm always open to exploring a new training topic
